I’ve known this circle would come to life since the C94 catalogue was going around and had the hunch it might be a team of ACTRock and cheluce (I was right lol). But I didn’t really know what else to expect! I’ve thought that cheluce’s voice would suit powerful rock-songs well, and my assumption seems to be right ❤
I hope you all enjoy Inorai as much as I do !
Please note that the original lyrics will be added after the album release.
A song about Aya-chan carrying people’s memories on to the next generation with her camera.
“I’ll go on living even if nobody acknowledges it.
Even if I decided to discard this world… It doesn’t matter.
I ride on the first strong waves of the east wind.”
“Gale” is another word for “strong wind”. As you may have noticed, this song is about Sanae and not Koishi. I don’t really know why people got that idea anyways.
Oh and by the way: hyururu is a Japanese onomatopoeia for “woosh”. Fitting for wind, isn’t it?
Lyrics written like this were not given in the booklet.
1) “N.Y.U.D.O” is a play of words. It’s short for “Nyorai, Yourself, Universe, Dharma, Om” as seen in the first stanza of the song but it also refers to a person completely devoted to Buddha’s path.
2) “Nyorai” is the Japanese term for Buddha.
3) “Dharmah” is the eternal law of the cosmos.
4) “Mihotoke” is another term for Buddha (Amida Buddha to be specific).
5) “Namusan” is short for namusanbou which can be translated to “Hail to the three treasures of Buddhism” (Buddha, Dharmah and Sangha).
“Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints.”¹
This is a memory from long, long ago. A small kappa inventor created her first ship. Then, she took her beloved human friend with her on the ship’s maiden voyage. The memories of that day are our last. They are the first blueprint.
I don’t really have a favorite track in „Money Money”, because they’re all too awesome! I was a bit disappointed there’s only one track arranged by ACTRock (I really enjoy his works), but Stack and her brother really know how to create quality music! I’m glad that I own all of Akatsuki’s latest works and will focus on translating all (or at least most) of them. But since I’ve got many exams coming up, translations might be a bit slow. I’m very sorry about that!
Anyways, I’ll work on a review of some Akatsuki albums in the near future to promote a reason why-to-buy their works, so please look forward to it!
